Agujas!

Primero que nada, gracias a las que me comentaron la entrada pasada! Estoy haciendo un esfuerzo pero ay, cómo me cuesta! esta timidez/anti-socialidad es terrible...

El jueves terminé yendo a All you Knit is Love, y conseguí las agujas para poder terminar mi sweater y unas para una bufandita, la verdad es que no se como se me fueron a olvidar mis mini chales tejidos pero bueno.

On Thursday I went to All you Knit is Love, and I finally found the needles I needed to start knitting again my owls sweater, I also bought yarn to make a scarf, I don't know how I could forget my knitted shawlettes!

De hecho ya empecé las mangas del sweater, pero ayer platicando con mi madre me quedé pensando que creo que necesito un poco más la bufanda que el sweater, así que mi owls va a tener que esperar unos días más antes de que lo pueda tejer :(

I actually started knitting the first sleeve, but yesterday while I was talking with my mother I realized that I need more a scarf than the sweater, so my owls will have to wait a little more :(

Ayer fui un rato a Barcelona (me queda a 25 minutos en tren) a conseguir un sweater un poco más calientito de los que traigo,  el cuál no compré terminé comprando un chaleco calientito blanco re mono, y aproveché para tomar una foto del Ayuntamiento de Barcelona, un día que vaya más temprano y haya mejor luz tomaré más fotos.

Yesterday I went to Barcelona (a 25 min train trip) to get a sweater a little more warmer, which I didn't get I ended up buying a warm white vest, that the ones I have here, and I took this picture of Barcelona Town Hall, next time I'll try to go earlier so I can take more pictures with better light.

Fui a Barcelona con una chica del Instituto y pasamos a una tienda de tés (cuyo nombre no recuerdo), y aparte de que el té que me tomé estaba re bueno tenían toda una selección de dulces deliciosos! La vitrina se ve tan linda que casi todos los que pasan enfrente se detienen a verla.

I went to Barcelona with a girl from the Institute and we went to a tea shop. The tea was great but they also had a selection of great sweets! The showcase is so pretty that almost everyone stops to see it.

Hola!  Dije que iba a poner nuevo contenido en poco tiempo y aquí estoy cumpliendo (un poco tarde pero no nos fijemos en detalles).

Pues con las noticias de que estoy haciendo una estancia en la Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, estoy acá por dos meses y déjenme contarles que ha sido un poco raro y bastante estresante, entre que mis planes para terminar la tesis de la maestría no se cumplieron y entonces estoy terminándola aquí, que aparte tengo el trabajo en la estancia (que va a ser como el pre-doctorado), que no se cuándo me van a poder pagar aquí y mi cuenta de ahorros está disminuyendo a paso seguro y que soy increíblemente tímida y que me cuesta mucho trabajo relacionarme con nueva gente, bueno pues podrán imaginarse que no me la estoy pasando tan bien, llevo semana y media aquí así que esperemos que en un par de semanas algunas de estas cosas se arreglen (mínimo lo de la tesis!).

I have news! I'm making a litte 2 month visit at the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, but it's been a strange time. I didn't finish the masters thesis before I came here and now I have to do it while I do my work here (which is kind of like the pre-PhD). I don't know when they are going to pay me something and my account it's not very big. I'm extremely shy and I have a really hard time trying to talk (or even around) with new people, and all of this combined I'm not having a good time, but hopefully in a couple of weeks I'll be feeling better (at least the thesis part should be finished).

Para acabarla de amolar se me olvidó empacar un montón de cosas, entre ellas mis agujas! así que ahora tengo un sweater a medio terminar (porque ese sí lo empaqué) y no lo puedo tejer... La semana pasada intenté ir a comprarlas pero no tenían el número que necesito, voy a tratar de ir esta semana y conseguirlas, aquí entre nos, necesito ese sweater terminado, el aire está helado!

On top of everything I forgot to pack a lot of things, including my Denise needle case, so now I have a sweater on mid-knitting and no needles to knit. Last week I went to buy the needles but the store didn't have the number I needed, maybe this week they'll have them. And I really need that sweater, the air is very cold!

También olvidé empacar otro proyecto, en este momento sólo tengo estambre para un par de guantes y no se que voy a hacer, el estambre no está muy accesible que digamos en precio acá, pero la alternativa es no tejer... no se que voy a decidir. Pero al menos traigo un par de libros!

I also forgot to pack another project, right now I only have yarn for a pair of fingerless gloves and the yarn is a little expensive here so I don't know what to do, I don't want to have nothing to knit but let's see what will happen. At least I have a couple of books with me!

En fin, espero tener cosas interesantes para contarles o al menos no estar con tan pocos ánimos para poder regresar a este espacio, porque creo que en este momento me serviría mucho tener comunicación con ustedes (claro si es que todavía hay alguien leyendo por aquí!).

Anyway, hopefully I'll be better and I'll have interesting things to say here, otherwise I'll stil try to write on this space, I have the feeling that this blog will help me on this time (I hope I still have readers!).
