Primero que nada, felices fiestas a todas!!!, he andado trabajando (sniff) y ando medio desatendida, pero espero que hayan pasado una buena navidad y que el año nuevo les traiga cosas lindas...

En asuntos de las agujas el laminaria está terminado!!, sólo voy a comprar alfileres y a hormar!!, sin hormar era bastante pequeño, casi de juguete así que espero que quede un poco más grande cuándo esté seco....

Algo que me dio un poco de coraje es que tenía sólo una madeja de malabrigo laca y por lo tanto poco estambre (~400 m) entonces hice el tamaño pequeño del patrón, y me quedó estambre!!! lo suficiente para al menos haber hecho otra repetición del blossom chart pero bueno, ya no puedo hacer nada y ya estoy viendo que puedo hacer con la mini bolita de estambre que me quedó, estoy pensando en un pañuelo para la cabeza: un micro laminaria, a ver...

I had only one skein of malabrigo lace (~400m) so as the pattern said I did the shoulderette version and I have leftovers!!, I should be able of doing another repeat (at least) of the blossom chart and therefore the shawl would be bigger, but I can't do anything right now so I'm a little angry.... (I'm NOT frogging) I'm thinking knitting a micro laminaria an use it like a handkerchief for the head, will see....

Empecé un chal para mí en navidad, de repente me dieron ganas de usar uno en año nuevo (si una semana antes, a quién se le ocurre), lo bueno es que tuve la sabiduría (jajaja, dejen que me ría) de usar un estambre "worsted" así que va avanzando bien, el plan es que esté terminado a más tardar mañana a medio día para poder hormarlo en la tarde y usar artillería pesada (léase un ventilador) para que esté seco el miércoles en la tarde/noche así que a cruzar los dedos!!!

I started a shawl for me in Christmas day that I want to use in New Year's eve the good part it's that I'm using a worsted weight so maybe it will be finished, the plan it's that it will be completed tomorrow mornign so I can block it in the afternoon an use a fan to dry it for the wednesday, cross fingers..

El patrón que estoy utilizando es el Blue Jeans Lace Leaf Shawl y la verdad está fácil de memorizar así que eso ayuda a no estar viendo tanto el gráfico y con la velocidad de tejido, ya tengo también lista una alpaca para empezar el 1o un gorro para mí, pienso usar la Alpaca de Drops en el Selbu Modern(pdf) y con lo que quedé hacer un par de endpaper mits para mí, creo que después de tejer tanto para otros (3 proyectos, soy una exagerada), quiero verme un poco egoísta, aunque tengo un gorro para un tío, un gorro para una tía y unos calcetines para jp en la lista...

I'm using  Blue Jeans Lace Leaf Shawl  and it's really easy to memorize so it goes fast, I'm planning to star a hat for me (Selbu Modern[pdf]) with the Alpaca Drops in New Years day (?, 1st january) and with the leftovers knit a pair of endpaper mits for me, in the list also a hat for one of my uncles, a hat for my aunt and a pair of socks for jp, in sum too much knitting and too litle time...

Éste es el regalo para  mi padre (más un libro que todavía no escojo), da clases en la Ibero de santa fé en dónde si hace frío así que espero que lo use (y que le guste claro).

El patrón es Reverser (el gorro final es reversible!) que viene en un e-book de Woolly Wormhead, yo lo compré en un sitio que se llama Lulu pero ya se puede comprar en ravelry y creo que ya es la 2a edición, tiene 24 patrones algunos bastante interesantes y desde hace un rato quería hacer alguno y pues ahora se me presentó la oportunidad.

The pattern it's from an e-book by Woolly Wormhead it has 24 patterns some of them really interesting, and you can buy it from ravelry now. It's been a while since I wanted to knit a hat from here and finally I got the opportunity to do it.

Utilicé Dolly en el peso normal que yo le llamaría "bulky", sobre todo después de la hormeada creció!! y se hizo más suave que era algo que tenía un poco de miedo, porque al tejer es un poco rasposo el estambre pero después de una lavadita, es suavecito...

I used Dolly in the normal weight (bulky from my point of view), and it really grew after washing, when knitting the yarn was a bit rough but after water and soap it's really soft.

El gorro está tejido "de lado" se usa un montaje de puntos provisional y de ahí se empieza a tejer, cuándo se completó la longitud deseada del gorro (en este caso el diámetro de la cabeza) se "graftean" lo que está en las agujas y el montaje creando un gorro sin costuras y con las puntadas acostadas y no paraditas como normalmente.

The hat it's knitting sideways not in the round, you start with a provisional CO and start knitting from there, when you have the desire lenght (circunference of the head) you graft the lasta and first rows together and the stitches ended up horizontal not vertical.

it's a big hat!!

Es bastante divertido ver como se va creando la forma del gorro por medio de vueltas cortas y está padre que se teja de forma plana y luego como por arte de magia (y unas horas haciendo grafting) taran: un gorro sin costuras!!

It's fun to knit the hat in this way, and see how using short rows the form of the hat creates, and then graft and voilá a hat with no seam!

En otras noticias el calcetín sigue siendo solitario, laminaria va creciendo acabo de empezar la 4a repetición del blossom chart, pero gracias a las propiedades del calado se ve exactamente igual que cuándo le tomé fotos... hice un cuellito pero le faltan botones y quiero empezar un gorro para mí!!! y eso de las vacaciones con tesis y códigos y cocinada no son vacaciones desde mi punto de vista pero a ver cómo salen...

In other news, the single sock it's still single, laminaria it's growing but thanks to the shrinking properties of lace look exactly the same as last week, I made a neckwarmer which still lacks buttons and I really want to start a hat for me!

sí, sólo un calcetín, el segundo tiene como 5 centímetros de pierna, le pregunté si quería la mitad de su regalo o se esperaba a que terminara me dijo que se esperaba... y ahora el problema es que ya estoy harta de tejerlos ( y no ayuda nada que tuve que desmontar 4(!!!) veces hasta que encontré la combinación de "picot edge" que diera la elasticidad necesaria y no quedaran gigantes o miniatura)... cómo que no siento que avancen muy rápido y me canso y tengo que apurarme o se va a juntar con navidad :(

A lonely sock, his brother onley have ~2 inches of the leg, and I asked her and she said she prefer to wait for the complete gift and not only a half, the problem it's that I'm really bored of knitting them, I knit and knit and not feel that I'm doing some progress, and doesn't help the fact that I had to BO 4 (!!) times before I found the perfect picot edge that gives elasticity and the right size :(, and I have to knit it fast or it will be a christmas gift.....

Aparte estoy tejiendo Laminaria y apenas voy en la 2a repitición del blossom chart en mi versión (peque) son 4 las que se requieren y me divierte tejerlo pero no he tenido tiempo de agarrarlo desde el fin de semana, y la verdad no creo que vaya a estar listo para navidad....

I'm also knitting Laminaria and I'm in the 2nd blossom chart of 4, I love to knit it and it's fun but I just couldn't pick it up since the weekend (it's not going to be ready for christmas I fear)

Aparte terminé un gorro para mi padre, voy a ver si consigo fotos modeladas de una persona con cabeza grande (a mi me queda enoorme) si no pues se los presento conmigo modelando :)

Para terminar, hoy Paula menciona aquello de que a veces la gente deja de comentar o lee y no comenta... yo soy del segundo grupo en realidad las leo, estoy casi todo el día en la computadora trabajando y peleándome con ella pero a veces leo el post, hago algo, y se me olvida lo que quería decir y así es siempre :(, bueno esto es para decirles que si las leo pero no comento y que voy a tratar de comentar más en el futuro (a ver si poniéndolo aquí cumplo)

Black Hole a.k.a. Noro stripped scarf for jp

Casi un mes después pero aquí está, con ustedes, La bufanda de jp!!, mejor conocida como mi hoyo negro tejeril personal...

Almost a month later but here it is: jp's scarf or my personal knitting black hole...

El gran problema no fue tanto tejerla, aunque tejer resorte 1x1 es cansaaado y abuurrido de repente, en realidad lo que pasó es que la empecé a tejer en abril (ups!), y pues la tensión del tejido era completamente distinta a la que tenía al final por ahí de septiembre/octubre que la retomé y no me gustaba nadita como se veía, así que destejí como medio metro del principio de la bufanda!, me armé de valor y valió la pena...

Las siguientes fotos muestran cómo recogí los puntos del inicio destejido de la bufanda (no tengo fotos del antes porque en mi urgencia de destejer y no pensar no agarré la cámara hasta después), y no sólo la tensión es la misma en toda la bufanda sino que ahora los dos lados de la bufanda son iguales pues ambos son desmontados y no se ve la diferencia entre un montado justo de puntos y un desmontado flojo (en qué estaba pensando cuándo los monté tan justos no tengo ni idea...)

En la segunda columna muestro el desmontado original de la bufanda, el cuál tuve que deshacer para poder tejer de nuevo el medio metro que le quité al principio de la bufanda, resulta que el resorte no se puede tejer igual de los dos lados (o sea pa'rriba o pa'bajo) porque si se teje para abajo queda desfasado medio punto, lo cuál claramente descubrí hasta que ya lo había destejido pero bueno...

Y cómo me habían gustado los colores que habían quedado hasta el final y ya andabamos en las destejidas... pues le quité otros 15-20 cm del final, luego tejí el estambre que tenía del principio de la bufanda y finalmente lo que originalmente estaba al final (si, un enredo, pero tiene sentido, creánme!), lo bueno de haber tejido con noro es que pude unir las fibras con saliva (jeje) y no tuve miles de hilos a lo largo de la bufanda que luego había que coser!!! (cualquier estambre que se afieltre sirve para esto), lo bueno también fue que tejí un poco más larga la bufanda de lo que originalmente era así que creo que tooodo valió la pena.

I took a looong time for knitting this, and the problem (at the end at least), was that my knitting tension in april (!) was a lot more loose that the one in august/september when I started knitting it again so I decided to rip the first half metre and then re-knitting it... the thing is that you can't do that for 1x1 rib or you end with a 1/2 stitch jog so I had to bo what originally was the co and rip the original bo (yes it was finished when I did this...) then rip like 20 cm (because I liked the colors at the end FOR the end) join the beggining yarn (spit joining!!) knit, then join the ending yarn, and keep knitting but in the end I really think it was worth it, the scarf is more homogeneous and I could keep knitting a little more for more length (which made the ripping of the ending 20 cm useless je), the result it's gorgeous.

Al final la bufanda mide casi 2 metros después de lavada, y es increíble la diferencia entre noro antes y después de lavar, yo no lo encontré tan duro y difícil de tejer como algunos dicen por ahí pero sí es muuy suave ya que pasó por agua.

After washing and blocking the scarf is almost 2 metres long and it's incredible the difference in the texture of the yarn after the washing, I didn't think that was too hard to knit or at the touch but is reaally smooth after the water,

Me gustó taanto la bufanda que he decidido que para el año que entra me voy a hacer una para mí, así voy comprando el silk garden a lo largo del año y no lo siento tanto!!

La bufanda ha estado en uso ya casi 2 semanas y es bastante apreciada por el dueño (yay!)

Definitivamente algo que repetiré... es adictivo ver como van cambiando los colores en los estambres noro, lástima del precio, y que se puedan conseguir en el país eso los hacer muuy tentadores no??

It really is addictive how the colors change in the noro yarns, this is something that definitively I'm going to knit again...

Los terminé el miércoles y me encantan!!, lo único malo es que no se alcanza a ver bien la trenza del patrón por las franjas del estambre, pero aún así me gustan bastante.

I finished them last wednesday, and I love them the only thing it's that the yarn it's self-stripped and that doesn't show off the cables in the pattern but still I love them :)

El patrón es de Kirsten y ya le traía ganas a hacer uno de sus patrones, thorpe y el chaleco de Dr.G son unos que probablemente haga en algún momento (u otro de sus calcetines!!!), y éste fue el KAL que se hizo en ravelry por el socktober fest, sólo que me tardé muucho más en terminarlos pero bueno ya están aquí no??

The pattern it's from Kirsten and I've been seeing some of her designs for a while, somes like  thorpe the  Dr. G vest are on my mental queue ( or another socks?), and was the pattern for the KAL (ravelry) for the socktober fest but well, I took a lot more time to finished them...

not really a mod, but I did the CO large and the "medium extra slouchy" depth just to compensate my gauge problems.

El patrón es bastante fácil de seguir y el resultado es muy bonito, aparte de que casi no toma tiempo tejerlo, supongo que será un par de tardes (3 a lo más), y el patrón da muchas opciones de diámetro de cabeza y de profundidad para la boina de manera que cada quién tiene un meret personalizado :)

I really liked the pattern, it's highly customizable and everyone may end with a super personal meret, and it's really quick to knit, I think 2-3 afternoons and you have a new and beatiful hat.

Espero este fin de semana ya tener fotos de mi hoyo negro personal alias "bufanda a rayas"

He andado como loca trabajando, en que momento llegamos a la segunda quincena de noviembre???? porque nadie me avisó que las vacaciones de diciembre (en las cuáles según yo tengo que escribir la tesis) están a la vuelta de la esquina???? ARGH!!!!
I've been working like crazy I haven't realize that the december holidays were almost here and that IT'S november already....

Hace un par de semanas, hice un pedido en Scandinavian Knitting, y hoy me llegó el paquete!!!
Para empezar, es una tienda en Inglaterra, y parece mentira pero salía más barato comprar en libras que en dólares (aparte del cambio horrible que tiene el peso últimamente, en dólares es más), y el envío salió super bien £6 nomás!!!, y llegó en menos de 15 días!!!, el envío salió de allá el 29 de octubre y hoy está aquí!!! yay!!!, yo me lo esperaba hasta diciembre (envíos de usa han tardado más de un mes) y no, de hecho el cartero me dijo que ya había pasado pero que yo no estaba, así que chicas se los recomiendo si algún día quieren algo de Drops o Kauni :).
A couple of weeks ago I ordered some yarn from Scandinavian Knitting, a UK shop and today the yarn is here!!, it's super fast I expected the package at least in december (packages from USA have been taken a month to arrive), and this took less than 2 weeks!! the mailman told me that he came last week but I wasn't here so... and also the yarn it's more cheap that if I ordered in a USA or Canada shop, not just the rate exchange but the net price!!, and the mail rate it's cheaper that others I have paid, a good choice :)

Pues, este fin de semana fue el Día de Muertos y ayer pasé un rato al zócalo a ver las ofrendas y tomar algunas fotos, y cómo ando medio en friega este post es más fotos que otra cosa y sin tejido :'(

This past weekend was Day of the Dead here, and I went to the downtown (zócalo) here to the altars they put, I have a lot of work right know, so this is a almost all pictures post, and sadly with no knitting content :'(

There are more photos in my flickr, but I really didn't take a lot, the zócalo (downtown) was full and I was a little disappointed about the altars/ofrendas a lot look like there were no effort put in them, like the people that made them didn't think a lot in them...

Antes que nada, gracias por los comentarios de los lentes de contacto!!!, es increíble cuánto puede cambiar las facciones no? aún no me acostumbro a mi cara sin lentes pero bueno, eventualmente lo haré, durante muchos años sólo usé contacto y veía rara mi cara con armazones je. He andado en friega con la tesis, mi código dice que TODO es infinito (alguien miente, sólo que no se todavía si es él o soy yo....) y bueno, no hay mucho tiempo para tejer, :'(

I've been like crazy with the thesis, and my code says that EVERYTHING goes to infinity, I yet don't know if he is lying, or I'm lying but surely someone does... and that means that knitting time it's almost non-existent.

He tejido poco, básicamente he tratado de terminar las piernas de los tines misteriosos, sin éxito, unas pocas vueltas en la ribbon scarf, mi tiempo se lo dediqué a la stripped scarf, el sábado la términe (quiero que le den uso éste año, je), pero.... no me gustaba la tensión que tenía el principio de la bufanda (muy guanga), así que me armé de valor y le quité como 30 cm del principio, y bueno, no resultó cómo esperaba, ya pensé lo que voy a hacer, tomo fotos y les platico luego va?

I've not been knitting a lot lately, I've tried to finish the legs of the mystery socks and couldn't, some rows in the ribbon scarf, mostly I knited in the stripped scarf ( I really want him to use it this year), but... the tension at the beggining was a lot looser than the rest of the scarf, so I gather courage and removed like 30 cm, then realize than I couldn't just do what I think I could... I think I know what to do, I'll take pictures and tell you more later.

Hoy hice dulce de camote para la ofrenda, la verdad es que espero todo el año para ponerla y hacer dulce de calabaza :), mañana me dedicaré a hacerlo, y para fin de semana habrá por acá fotos de mi mini-ofrenda, alguien más pone???

Just to put some pictures, I cooked today "dulce de camote", which is sweet potato in candy, for my altar of "Día de muertos", tomorrow I'll cook the pumpkin, I love this days and the candies of the season, and I love to put the "ofrenda", at the end of the week will be photos of that.

El estambre fue parte de mi paquete del intercambio tricolor cortesía de Paula, y bueno, el morado es uno de mis colores favoritos, así que me encantó!!!, aparte combina con casi todo lo que tengo (en serio, tengo que pensar en comprar otros colores je). 

The yarn was part of my tricolor swap that Paula gave me, and I just loved it, purple it's one of my favorite colors so it's perfect for me and goes with almost everything I own :) (seriously I should diversify)

Terminé no siguiendo las instrucciones de número de filas del patrón, principalmente porque el estambre que usé es muchísimo más delgado que el que se pide, así que me dediqué a tejer hasta que me gustó cómo se veía, y fue una buena estrategia porque el resultado me encantó!!

I ended up not following the instructions in number of rows an such, mostly because my yarn was much thinner than the one the pattern called for, so I just kept knitting until I liked it, and I loved it!!!

Me encantó cómo quedó, mi única queja es que quedó un poco asimétrico pero espero que con una hormeada(?) mejorcita se le quite, así que cuándo lo haga le tomo fotos y las pongo por acá...

Overall I really liked the pattern my only complaint it's that it's a little assymetrical but I expect that with a more severe blocking this will be fine.

Me uní al KAL de los calcetines misteriosos que organizó Kirsten, voy suuper atrasada, apenas empecé el lunes así que eventualmente alcanzaré a  todos los demás jeje, también estoy pensando en entrar al KAL de Woolly Wormhead, va a ser un beret (boina???) y se ve que va a estar bueno, me encantan sus gorros y hasta ahora no había tenido la oportunidad, nadie se anima a entrarle? y tenemos nuestro mini kal dentro del grande??

And now I'm knitting the mystery socks KAL by Kirsten I'm going really behind but eventually I'll catch up with everybody so far it's lookin goood, I'm also thinking in doing the KAL of woolly wormhead I really like her hats and so far I haven't knit anything of her designs, it's going to be a beret, anyone interested???

Hoy no hay tejido, es sólo un post de desahogo, pero les prometo uno di a devis en la semana ok?

Disculpas adelantadas si a alguien le incomoda leer de mis problemas en la vida real :), también disculpas si se me va alguna mala palabra...

Sorry no knitting, emotional hell more like, sorry...

Todo este año he estado hacia abajo, primero rompí con mi novio y me regresé a vivir a casa de mi madre (él y yo vivíamos juntos, y mi madre y yo no nos llevamos bien cuándo vivimos en la misma casa), y quedamos como cuates, el último mes vivíamos así como mejor amigos y fue muy fácil y natural seguir con esa misma relación ya no estando juntos, pero... él empezó a andar con una chica como un mes después y pues a mi me pegó porque sentía que lo que habíamos tenido no era importante para él ni como para dedicarle un periodo de duelo "decente" y pues obviamente a ella no le caigo bien y es celosa de mí y bueno... nos fuimos separando un poco, lo cuál a mi me dio en la torre porque si yo decidí salirme del depa que compartíamos (mi decisión pero no había opción ya) era para seguir como mejores amigos y sentía que él "no estaba respetando eso" (si, medio enfermo, pero espérense...)

This year has been the worst in my life, nothing goes ok, first my boyfriend and I broke up and I returned to my mother house (and she and I are not compatible, I don't like living here), then he started to date someone one month later and got very upset because "the deal" was to remain the best friends that we were and with his new girlfriend, well that just wasn't happening, and I think it's safe to say that she hates me... 

Luego me fui de escuela de verano y como que él se puso a pensar, yo conocí a alguien (que al final no llegó a nada pero pueden ver la mini saga en los post de junio/julio/agosto) y cuándo regresé me dijo que había estado pensando, había roto con su chica, y bueno, no regresamos ni nada pero nos volvimos a acercar mucho.... y luego regresaron.

Then I went to a summer school and he got thinking, I met somebody (nothing "real"), and when I came back he told me that he had broken up with her, and we didn't date again but we got really close again... and then they got back together

Después rompieron porque ella no entendía nuestra relación, ahora regresaron otra vez... Él es mi mejor amigo, lo quiero un chingo (no estoy enamorada, al menos no como de un novio), es más que familia incluso, y creo que ahora si lo estoy perdiendo, porque para ser sincera yo no puedo con este ritmo de tener confidente a la otra semana él tiene novia y yo ya no tengo ni amigo, mal que bien los 3 estamos en este carrousel pero ellos dos tienen los beneficios de una relación en pareja y yo... nada... siento que quedo flotando y no sé, que hacer

Then they broke up again, she doesn't like/understand our relationship, then they got back... He is my best friend, it's more than family it's my confident, I love him but I'm not in love with him, not as a boyfriend at least, and I feel that I'm loosing him, I'm getting tired of having confident/bf and then when he has a girlfriend not having  even a friend (not to say a best friend), I realize that the 3 of us "suffer this" but they have all the benefits of a couple relationship and I have nothing there's not even someone that likes me, nothing...

Le he dicho que es probable que me haga pa'atrás totalmente y dice que así no sería felíz, pero es feliz con su chica así que supongo que no le va a doler tanto como a mí, al menos tendrá un hombro/alguien con quién consolarse, pero yo estoy sola, sola y no se si me atrevo a cumplirlo...

I have told him that maybe I'll stop the friendship because it's really painfull, and he says that that will make him unhappy but at the end, he has a girlfriend, someone with whom he can console, but I feel really really lonely and I don't think I'm strong enough to actually do it...

ballenato chico!

Y no, no me refiero al tipo de música (colombiana?) al que se le llama ballenato si no a una mini ballenita que crocheteé el otro día, les presento a mau:

Fue bastante rápido, yo creo que en total me tomó como 3 horas, y es miniatura poco más de 7 cm, aunque tengo que aceptar que lo quería tejer porque me urgía algo en donde poner agujas y alfileres, así que ahí les va una foto de como vivirá mau sus días (que espero que sean muuchos):

It was really really fast it only took maybe 3 hours and it's tiny!, little than 3 inches, I actually wanted to crochet it because I needed a pin cushion because I was losing all my needles so, this is a picture of how mau it's going a live:

mods aparte del tamaño del gancho hice un poco diferente la cola hice 4 dobles en uno después 3  puntos enanos, otros 4 dobles en uno y terminé con un enano /  besides the size of the hook, I did a little diferent the tail, I did 4 dc first then 3sc and then another 4 dc in one, ended with a sc just because I thought this way the tail was going to be more big and symmetric.

Y citadino está terminado, tengo un par de fotos en flickr pero creo que lo voy a hormar más mejor (!) y después le tomo fotos para ponerlas aquí, pero por mientras:

Y ya para terminar, el fin de semana fui al concierto de Manu Chao, y cómo me divertí, aparte abrió el concierto la Maldita Vecindad y cómo son buenos!, nunca había ido a un concierto de ninguno y la verdad tenía un poco de miedo de que los jóvenes (léanse más chavos que yo i.e. 25 p'abajo) no conocieran a la maldita ya ven como cambian los gustos por generaciones pero no!, al menos la mayoría de los que llegaron a tiempo si se las sabían y tocaron puras clásicas así que canté a más no poder!!, ya con Manu *bailé y canté*, repetir lo que está entre ** todo el concierto, el foro sol estaba llenísimo pero Manu Chao es realmente muy bueno y pos nada, me divertí demasiado!!! realmente soy fan de Manu Chao y me encantan sus canciones, me las sé casi todas (incluso algunas de mano negra), lo que más me gusta es que la mayoría de ellas te diviertes pero al mismo tiempo son realmente duras y desgraciadamente verdaderas, me la pasé increíble!!

And just because I want to say it, this past weekend I went to a Manu Chao concert, the group that open was La Maldita Vecindad a mexican rock/ska  group really good, at first I was a little afraid that a lot of the young people (well, younger than me) didn't knew their songs, but at least the ones that get there early did! and they played the classics so I sang all of them!!!, then when Manu started to play I *sang and danced*, repeat between **, all the concert!, I'm really fan and I know almost all his songs, some are funny, most are really crude, and in some I can sing with all the bad english (pronounce that is) that in other way I can't!! I really had a very good time!!

Una pregunta técnica: alguien sabe como puedo modificar la plantilla de blogger tal que quepan bien las fotos (ancho de 500px) estuve jugando con el diseño pero nomás no puedo hacer que la banda del lado derecho se haga más peque pa'poder hacer más grande el cuerpo y que quepan las fotos, claro sin mover la izquierda que es dónde está el perfil y todo eso, ayuda!!!

Technique question: does somebody know how I can do more narrow the band at the right of the blog so I can make the body bigger and the photos can fit (are 500px wide), I tried with the design on blogger but I couldn't do that, so help please!

Con este clima taan raro que hemos estado teniendo y sumando que de por sí yo casi siempre tengo las manos frías, decidí que necesitaba otro par de guantes sin deditos, así que aproveché la ocasión para utilizar una lana que había pintado con gel wilton (p'pasteles) hace unos meses y me puse a tejer los garter stitch mittens de Ysolda.

We've been having a very weird weather lately here because of that and because I almost always have my hands cold I decided that I needed another pair of fingerless gloves/mittens, and I grasp the ocassion to use a yarn that I'd handpainted a couple of months ago to make the garter stitch mittens designed by Ysolda.

Me tomaron como medio día, yo calculo como unas 4 horas tejiendo más el tiempo del 'grafting', y me sirvieron de terapia ya que mi computadora y maple (software) nomás no respondían, así que mientras ellos decidían si trabajaban o se iban a huelga (lo cuál pasaba ~cada 10 minutos) yo tejía, resultado: un par de guantes y una computadora viva!!!!

They are incredible fast!!, they took me half a day maybe? I think in total 3-4 hours knitting plus grafting, and because I was knitting I didn't murder my computer, she and a particular software (is a she) were behaving very bad last weekend, blocking, unresponsive and everything, and when ALL your work it's in the computer that's a very bad thing, so while they decided to work I knit.

La construcción de estos guantes es un poco rara al principio,  se hace un montaje de puntos provisional,se tejen planos y después se 'graftean' (cómo se dice eso en español??) los puntos del montaje y los de la última fila, la forma se hace con short-rows, y el resultado aparte de que está re mono es muy cómodo porque la puntada es suuper elástica :),  y la verdad es que me encantó cómo se ve tejido el estambre, fue mi primer experimento para pintar estambre y me gusta!!! (tengo preparada otra sesión mañana).

The construction of these mittens it's weird at first, they are knit flat and then you graft the provisional CO and the last knited row, but the final producto it's very good and really comfortable mainly because the elasticity of the garter stitch, and I really loved the way that my handpainted yarn look knited in this mittens.
