Sip, está muy grande, como 5 cm de más en un sweater que debería de quedar ajustado, así que ese ruido que escuchan es el sonido de como lo destejo :(

Yes, it's too big, about 2 in too big in a sweater that should have negative or at least no ease at all... so that thing you hear? it's the rip rip rip of my sweater :(


Y para aquellos que están en México, qué dicen las noticias? Siguen queriendo tapar el sol con un dedo??? Siguen con la hipótesis de "estaba muy nublado", que se las crea su abuela!

I have two sleeves!!

Claro, son mangas 3/4, pero he decidido que el sweater se va a ver bien con mangas cortitas. Ahora sólo tengo que darle un poco más al cuerpo del sweater, que me faltan como 6 cm para poder unir las mangas, así que con un poco de suerte en la semana les puedo enseñar un sweater unido :D

Yeah, they are 3/4 length sleeves, but I've decided that the sweater is going to look good with short sleeves. Now I need to knit about 2.5 in more in the body sweater before I get to join the sleeves, so with a little bit of luck I can show you later in the week almost a sweater.

Ramen

Los que han visto mi página de flickr sabrán que me gusta mucho cocinar/comer ramen y comida tipo asiática en general. Bueno, aquí no tengo nada de ingredientes y todavía no encuentro ni siquiera dónde poder comprar fideos de arroz/soya así que cuándo vi ramen en el super ni lo pensé y me compré dos paquetes.

Those of you who have seen my flickr page may know that I love to cook/eat asian inspired food. And here I don't have any ingredients of those I need and I didn't even know where to buy them. So last week when I found ramen on the market I didn't think it twice and bought two.

Lo malo es que no está muy buena que digamos, es decir,  sabe bien, pero no sabe a sopa ramen, incluso anticipándome le puse un poco de jengibre al agua para que diera sabor pero no, ni así. La otra es que por alguna razón la salsa soya que compré sabe dulce (!!) y no es muy salada, así que no ayudó mucho que digamos al sazón final.

But well, it's not very good, I mean, it tastes fine, but it doesn't taste like ramen soup, I even put some ginger on the water but it didn't work. And I don't know why but the soy sauce tastes sweet  (!!) and not very salty so it didn't help with the final seasoning.

Espero, ya después con más tiempo, encontrar una tienda china o japonesa (debe haber, no?) dónde conseguir ingredientes para cocinar mis muy extrañadas sopas de fideos pero bueno, por lo mientras vean que lindo me quedó el huevo que le puse a la sopa:

I hope that when I have more time to look that I'll find a chinese or japanese store where I can buy my ingredients, but for today just want to show off how pretty the egg cooked:

Las noticias en México hoy están no se si para llorar o para reír, es casi como una tragicomedia. Lo único que me pregunto es, cuáles son las probabilidades de que dos personas distintas que ocupan el mismo puesto se mueran porque el helicóptero se les cayó?? Ya no se ni que pensar.

Para los que no saben de lo que hablo, aquí la noticia de la muerte del Secretario de Gobernación.

Today I don't know if I should cry or laugh, seriously, the Mexican news are really strange, the Mexican interior minister, kind of like the vicepresident as we don't have that position, died in an helicopter crash, the second interior minister that had died in an helicopter crash in 4 years. It's too strange to be a coincidence, I wonder what the government is going to say this time...

New socks!

Primero que nada, muchas gracias a todos los que han comentado, se los agradezco mucho!

Hoy decidí empezar con los calcetines, el patrón que estoy utilizando se llama Paraphernalia (rav link), con un poco de suerte me aprendo rápido el patrón y puedo empezar a tejer en el tren :)

Today I started my new pair of socks, the pattern I'm using is called Paraphernalia (rav link) and with a little luck I'll learn the pattern and can start knitting them on the train :)

calcetín nuevo / new sock

Sólo llevo la mitad del resorte, y voy medio lento porque el resorte tiene puras puntadas "torcidas" (por la patita de atrás) y tengo que ver el tejido, pero estoy segura que en la pierna y los cables el tejido se va a ir mucho más rápido.


At the moment I only have half of the ribbing, and it's going a little slow because is a twisted rib and I have to look at the stitches when knitting, but as soon as I get to the leg and the cables I'm sure the knitting will go faster.


Todavía no se que voy a hacer respecto a la bufanda, seguramente terminaré comprando una, ahí luego se las muestro...


I still haven't decided about my scarf, I think I'm going to buy one so maybe I can show you my new scarf on the weekend.

Sleeve

Últimamente aunque he tenido ganas de tejer no he podido, si no es porque no tengo tiempo o porque me duele la cabeza o lo que sea, a penas si le he dado unas vueltas a la manga de mi sweater (y todavía no hay nada de los futuros calcetines). A este paso lo voy a terminar justo a tiempo para subirme en el avión de regreso...

Lately I haven't knitted a lot (but I want to), between little free time and headaches I just haven't found the space to do it. So my sleeve is going very very slow, at this rate I'm going to bind off the sweater just in time to get on my plane back to México...

Headache

Desde ayer traigo un dolor de cabeza muy fuerte que no me deja pensar. Lo peor es que tengo que estar aquí, sentada enfrente de la computadora tratando de escribir, en lugar de dormir que es lo que a mi cuerpo le serviría, y me está costando demasiado trabajo.

Al parecer la combinación de 1g de paracetamol + azúcar + doble espresso (moka espresso) ayuda un poco pero no puedo estar tomando esto por muchos días, así que acepto sugerencias de medicinas/remedios (la ida al doctor no es viable).

Since yesterday I've been suffering a really bad headache, and I can hardly think. The worst it's that I have to work so I'm here, sitting at the computer instead of sleeping the pain away, and it's hard.


Apparently the combo of 1 g of paracetamol + sugar + double mocha espresso helps a little, but I can't leave on this combo for long, so suggestions are welcome.
