Se la terminé regalando a mi madre en su cumpleaños que fue la semana pasada, le gustó bastante así que valió la pena hacer el grafting después de 5 meses (me paso!).

I finished the grafting last week so I could give it to my mom in her birthday, she liked it so it was worth the 5 month wait.

Patrón/Pattern : mío, nada sofisticado / my own, nothing fancy (my rav)

Estambre/Yarn : Berroco Bonsai, 2 skeins

Y finalmente es que estoy cambiando el blog a wordpress, por el momento voy a estar publicando en los dos, y después voy a ver cómo redirigir el tráfico de aquí para allá (claro, voy a andar pidiendo ayuda), la dirección es la misma sólo en lugar de blogspot es wordpress.

Está feíto y todo, no espero ponerlo guapo hasta enero o algo así sólo quería irles comentando.

Era un festival de música electrónica pero la gran atracción (al menos para nosotros) era ver a Shpongle, un "dueto" pero en el set sólo tocó Simon Posford (el del vídeo) y no la otra parte Raja Ram, pero valió la pena, es muy bueno y en vivo pues todo se oye mejor :), y fue en un pueblo antes de querétaro y como se imaginarán hacía un frío de los mil demonios y pues el sweater+chamarra gruesa+guantes+gorro fueron necesarios

It was a electronic music festival, but the great atraction (for us) was seeing Shpongle, a "duet", but only played Simon Posford (in the video) and not Raja Ram, but it was worth it, he is good, and live sounded great. The festival was in a town that get really cold in the night so I used a combination of sweater+big jacket+gloves+hat and it was just ok.

Son cosas pequeñas y están en orden de relevancia por aquello de los tiempos, el de mi madre es el último de ser necesario pongo el chal empezado en su regalo :), pero la Snapdragon tiene que estar para el 25 a fuerzas (es intercambio familiar).

They are all small things, and are in orden of time needed, the last onw it's for my mother, if necessary I can put the wip in her gift.

Son muy bonitos y lucidores, la verdad no están muy complicados, sólo hay que leer con cuidado las instrucciones para la banda calada y ya, la banda se teje plana:

This gloves are very pretty and they aren't very difficult to knit, just have to read carefully the instructions for the lace band, (it's knit flat):

Rice Soup

Les vengo a compartir una receta que está buena ahora pa'los fríos, salió de mi cabecita, a veces pasa, y voy a intentar compartir más de mis recetas con ustedes, así de paso sirve que no se me olvidan :)

This recipe was a lucky accident, and I want to share it with you:

2 cebollas de rabo en rebanadas muy delgadas / 2 spring onions in fine slices

2 zanahorias en rebanadas chicas / 2 carrots in small slices

3 papas chicas en cubos / 3 really small potatoes cubed

un puñado de garbanzos / a handful of chickpeas

~ 1 1/2 cdita curry en polvo (o al gusto) / ~ 1 1/2 teaspoon of curry (at taste)

1 l caldo de pollo (o de verduras) / 1 l of chicken (or veg) stock

1/2 taza de arroz (yo utilice jazmín y estuvo excelente)/ 1/2 cup of rice (I used jasmine and it was really good)

aceite de oliva / olive oil

sal / salt

Poner el aceite a calentar, poner las cebollas y dejarlas hasta que estén suaves y un poco translúcidas, añadir el arroz, zanahorias y curry, dejar freír hasta que el arroz esté ligeramente transparente, añadir el caldo, garbanzos (cocidos) y las papas, llevar al hervor y dejar a fuego bajo hasta que todo este cocido, yo le puse un poco de pechiga de pollo en cubitos casi hasta el final, sólo lo justo para que se cosiera el pollo, probar de sal y agregar más si es necesario, ojalá les guste!

Put the oil to heat, add the onions until onions are soft and a little translucent, add rice, carrots and curry, mix, and let it fry until the rice is a little transparent, now add the stock, chickpeas and potatoes, let it boil and live it in low heat until the rice and vegs are cook, I added a bit of chicken breast at the end just to let it cook, add salt if needed, enjoy!

Este es un gorro para mi madre (Spiraling Stripes, rav) lo terminé ayer pero me quise ver "inteligente" e hice un grafting, resultado se rompió el estambre, no es bueno para coser, así que ahora tengo que unir estambre de acrílico para hacer un 3-needle BO (así dice en el patrón)

En otras noticias hoy me llegó la lana para teñir, es para calcetines, lo malo es que ando con un poco de dolor de garganta y un poquitín de fiebre (es por el maldito frío) así que no creo poder hacer hoy la prueba de teñido, pronto!!

Hola!! muchas cosas que contar poco tiempo, esa es la regla últimamente, sólo hay que substituir contar por leer/escribir/trabajar/cocinar y esta semana tejer también.

Well, a lot of things to tell and so little time, that's the rule lately, and you can substitute tell for read/write/work/cook and this week knit.

Cómo les había contado andaba súper deprimida, eso evitaba también que tejiera (así que bordé) pero esta semana estoy mejor y he andado tejiendo y gracias a que ayer fui a la Rueca por una revista que me había comprado (muy amablemente) Andrea ahora tengo estambre pa'tejer unos Veyla (rav) y un Ripley los cuáles serán comenzados de ser posible mañana mismo.

I was going through a little depression but this week I'm better and that makes me able to knit (I haven't been knitting a lot, but I did hand-embroider something), and yesterday I went to pick up a magazine that Andrea had bought for me and I ended buying some yarn that it's going to become a pair of Veyla's (rav) and a Ripley.

Me empecé a hacer un par de calcetines Miele (rav) pero creo que están muy flojos, estoy cerca del talón así que ya que lo doble (jejeje) me los mediré si no a empezar de nuevo con una aguja más peque (estoy tejiendo muy cerrado por el maldito stress y tuve que hacerlos con agujas de 3 mm para alcanzar la tensión del patrón).

I started some socks for me (Miele) (rav) but I think they are really loose I'm almost at the heel so as soon as I turn the heel I'll know if a trip to the frog pond it's in his future:

Plus some fingerless gloves that were a little big for me and she offered to knit ones smaller, but I forgot to take pictures of the gloves, next time :)

Hoy empecé un par de calcetines de regalo, el plan es que sean los hat-heel pero si no quedan o algo serán simples toe-up.

Today I also started another socks, this time for a gift, I want to knit the hat-heel pattern but if not they're going to be toe-up.

gracias a todas por su respuesta, anduve como loca para entregar algo ayer y hasta hoy tengo poco de respiro (ahora tengo una torre de tareas por calificar viéndome feo y un par de archivos de la tesis en la compu que gritan por mí...)

respecto a lo de los estambres voy a hacer un micro pedido de lanas para calcetines y chales para pintar, ya que lleguen y vea bien los costos les aviso, no los voy a dar muy caros, simplemente tengo que tomar varias cosas en consideración :)

Las dos cosas que estoy "tejiendo" son a rayas, amo las rayas, me fascinan, pero en este momento quiero algo sencillo que no tenga que andar cargando 2-3 bolas de estambre, ni estarme preocupando por los cambios... así que no sé que voy a a tejer después/entre proyectos, se que quiero/tengo que si no me voy a volver loca (nunca les ha pasado que están un ratito paradas y las manos sienten que tienen que estar haciendo algo)

si no paso por aquí en un ratito échenme un grito para que me salga de la tesis aunque sea por un ratito va???
